Ye Duniyawale Poochenge Mulakat Hui         Mahal   1969

Kishore Kumar - Asha Bhosle  /  Anand Bakshi

35 seconds of prelude full of VIOLINS, FLUTE and the laughing sound from Asha Bhosle. Beautiful take off from Kishore Kumarji ...ये दुनिया वाले पूछेंगे ...  5 seconds of singing ‘pause’ and a mind blowing display of MANDOLIN, synchronised with the rhythm of  BONGA DRUM and ACOUSTIC Guitar. First and third interludes are orchestrated with ACCORDION, MANDOLIN, VIOLINS and FLUTE. Second interlude also has the same instruments but with different tunes. The song is filmed on Dev Anand and Asha Parekh

Aankhon Aankhon Mein Hum Tum                   Mahal   1969

Kishore Kumar - Asha Bhosle  /  Anand Bakshi

The song starts with zero prelude, the best part of the song is it’s rhythm, consistent throughout, created with BONGO DRUMS and GUITAR. First and third  interludes are full of FLUTE and VIOLINS. Second interlude orchestrated with BRASS instruments. VIOLINS and MANDOLIN are awesomely played in the surround sounds in antares and mukhadas. The song is filmed on Dev Anand and Asha Parekh

Sama Hai Suhana Suhana                    Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani  1970

Kishore Kumar  /  Hasrat Jaipuri

An extremely melodious western style composition. 34 seconds of prelude is overwhelmingly rendered, HUMMING by Kishore Kumar, followed by CHORUS singing HUMMING. Melodiously orchestrated in WALTZ rhythm. Interludes are orchestrated with BRASS instruments and MOUTHORGAN. But the best part of the song is use of CHORUS HUMMING. Almost every alternate line has CHORUS. Filmed on Jalal Agha, Rakesh Roshan and Bharti.

Meri Pyari Bahaniya                   Sac Jhootha  1970

Kishore Kumar / Indeevar

This song stormed the nation. The beauty of this song is, it is  orchestrated by using wedding Band Instruments. The brass instruments like Alto Wanger TUBA, Flugel HORN, XYLOPHONE, CLARINET,  etc are prominently used in the orchestra. One of the finest songs composed by using an Indian wedding band.  Kishore Kumar  at it’s melodious best. Awesomely performed by Rajesh Khanna

Jeevan Se Bhari Teri Aankhe                               Safar  1970

Kishore Kumar / Indeevar

Romantic song, beautifully worded. Superb rendering and on top it Kalyanji-Anandji’s mellifluous orchestra arrangement.  18 seconds of prelude is full of soft VIOLINS Kishore Kumar’s awesome take off जीवन से भरी तेरी आँखें . Melodious TABLA rhythm. First interlude starts with soft VIOLINS, followed by the glimpses of SANTOOR and again soft VIOLINS. Second interlude again soft VIOLINS, SANTOOR and FLUTE. Another beauty of this song is the ‘filler’ used, softo VIOLINS, two times in both the ‘antaras’ one at 1.22 and 1.42. That adds the melody. The song is filmed on Rajesh Khanna.

Zindagi Ka Safar Hai Ye Kaisa Safar                      Safar     1970

Kishore Kumar / Indeevar

Sad song, metaphysically worded by Indeevar and softly rendered by Kishore Kumar. Zero prelude, wonderful take off ज़िन्दगी का सफर sssहै ये कैसा सफर, कोई समझा नहीं कोई जाना नहीं ...beautiful singing ‘pause’ for 9 seconds, highlighting VIOLINS and PIANO, synchronised with the melodiously orchestrated ‘rhythm’ through ACOUSTIC GUITAR  and BONGO drum. First interlude is instrumented with BRASS (Clarinet). Second interlude starts with the stroke of PIANO. It  is full of PIANO and VIOLINS. Another beauty of this song is the two ‘fillers’ of 3 seconds each, orchestrated with VIOLINS, in the ‘antaras’. The ‘rhythm’ of the song is very fresh and ear-pleasing. The song is filmed on Rajesh Khanna.

Meri Lottery Lag Jane Wali Hai                     Holi Aayi Re    1970

Kishore Kumar / Indeevar

Naughty song, sung by Kishore Kumar giving many variations.  16 seconds of prelude starts with WHISTLING and GUITAR with a nicely orchestrated BONGO DRUM rhythm. Kishore Kumar in terrific form. Both the interludes crafted with the BRASS (Trumpet) instruments. It is filmed on Rajendra Nath.

Gooni Jano Bhakt Jano                               Aasoon Aur Muskan  1971

Kishore Kumar /  Qamar Jalalabadi

Another naughty song composed by using traditional piously crafted ‘rhythm’ by using MRIDANGAM, MANJIRA etc. 24 seconds of prelude. Interludes are orchestrated with FLUTE. The song is filmed on Kishore Kumar. In all the interludes Kishore Kumar has shown his ‘class’ by singing and dancing naughtly, with lots of variations. KK fans would definitely love this song.

O Mere Raja Samajh Gaya Main                   Johny Mera Naam   1971

Kishore Kumar - Asha Bhosle  / Rajinder Krishan

Johny Mera Naam”, released in 1971,  is the biggest blockbuster film of the Director Vijay Anand and the actor Dev Anand, after ‘Guide’ 1965.

Wonderful duet, delicately rendered. The song starts with zero prelude ओ मेरे राजा ! mellifluous display of GUITAR, for 5 seconds, Yet another BONGO DRUM rhythm, consistent throughout the song. In the ‘mukhada’ enjoy strokes of ACCORDION, at least four times, (first at 0.40 and second at 0.43 and many times) that adds to the melody of the song. Both the interludes are orchestrated with FLUTE, ACCORDION and GUITAR. Very delicate use of ACCORDION as a filler in antares and mukhadas. The song is filmed on Dev Anand - Hema Mallini.

Pal Bhar Ke Liye Koi                              Johny Mera Naam   1971

Kishore Kumar -  Usha Khanna / Indeevar

Zero prelude starts with the stroke of GUITAR, followed by Kishore Kumar’s glamorous take off ..पलभर के लिए कोई हमें प्यार कर ले  झूठा ही सही  followed by the ‘stroke’ of ACCORDION. A romantic song beautifully composed with harmonic DHOLAK rhythm and tenderly orchestrated interludes with SANTOOR and the Humming Sound by Usha Khanna. Other than SANTOOR, VIOLINS are also used in the interludes. The song is admirably filmed on Dev Anand - Hema Malini.

Jo Tum Hasoge To Duniya Hasegi                         Kathputli        1971

Kishore Kumar  /  Verma Malik

It’s an inspirational song. 22 seconds of prelude is magical just because of the HUMMING sound by Kishore Kumar. Yet another magical rhythm created thorough ACOUSTIC GUITAR and BONGO DRUMS. The interludes are orchestrated with soft VIOLINS and Kishore Kumar’s AALAPS. CHORUS humming, CHORUS HUMMING and ACCORDION are delicately played in the surround sounds, in antares. Filmed on Jeetendra and Helen.

Tum Mile Pyar Se                                               Apradh  1972

Kishore Kumar - Asha Bhosle  /  Indeevar

The beauty of this song is its rhythm, created through CONGA DRUM. Prelude of 29 seconds, HUMMING and AALAPS by Kishore Kumar; AALAPS by Asha Bhosle mesmerizes the listeners. VIOLINS are effectively used in ‘mukhadas’. Again the AALAPS by Asha Bhosle, overlapping Kisihore Kumar’s renditions in mukhadas. Interlude is orchestrated with VIOLINES. Just listen to the pick-up of CONGA DRUM rhythm at the beginning of the first antara (1.37 to 1.40) and also at the end of the first antara (2.10 to 2.12). Both the interludes are orchestrated in western style, mainly orchestrated with soft VIOLINS, filmed on Firoz Khan - Mumtaz.

Dekha Maine Dekha                                Victoria 03     1973

Kishore Kumar / Indeevar

Another beautiful song on CONGA DRUM rhythm. Brass instruments, TRUMPET and the VIOLINS are used in both the interludes. Second interlude orchestrated with NADASWARAM. Filmed on Saira Bano and Naveen Nischal

Rafta Rafta Dekho Aankh                    Kahani Kat Ki   1973

Kishore Kumar  - Rekha  /  Rajinder Krishan

Super song. Kishore Kumar & Kalyanji-Anandji one of the most popular songs. 30 seconds of prelude full of GUITAR, Kishore Kumar’s shouts.. सुनो सुनो ओ मगनभाई sss

Mindblowing take-off by Kishore Kumar ..अरे रफ्ता रफ्ता देखो आँख मेरी लड़ी है , sets the mood of the song. The best part of the song is the exhibition of Electric GUITAR, in the mukhada, after every line अरे रफ्ता रफ्ता देखो आँख मेरी लड़ी है , rendered. First interlude is orchestrated with GUITAR and TRUMPET with BONGO DRUM rhythm. Second interlude full of GUITAR. Filmed on Dharmendra - Rekha.

Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas Tum Rehti Ho                        Blackmail          1973

Kishore Kumar  /  Rajinder Krishan

Mesmerizing prelude of 40 seconds starts with GUITAR, ACCORDION and VIOLINS. Awesome take off by Kishore Kumar…..पल पल दिल के पास  and the CONGA rhythm starts. Soft VIOLINS are melodiously orchestrated in the surround sounds of Kishore Kumar. First and the third  interludes are full of soft displays of VIOLINS, GUITAR and ACCORDION. Second interlude is orchestrated with ACCORDION and VIOLINS. Filmed on Dharmendra - Raakhi.

Mera Jeevan Kora Kagaz                                        Kora Kaagaz     1974

Kishore Kumar  /  M G Hashmat

One of the finest compositions from Kalyanji-Anandji. The song is composed in the raag Jhinjhoti. The best part of the song is the filler / surround sound of 3 seconds of soft VIOLINS used after every line. This filler has brought the ‘melody’ in the song. The same 3 seconds of soft VIOLINS are also used in antares. The first it can be heard at 0.27 to 0.30. It is repeated even in interludes. The same tune also played through GUITAR. But it sounds good on VIOLINS. The song has a good TABLA rhythm.

Tere Chehre Me Wo Jadoo Hai                                Dharmatma   1975

Kishore Kumar / Indeevar

Romantic song, filmed in Afghanistan. 50 seconds of prelude is full of soft VIOLINS, MANDOLIN and RUBAB. Wonderful DHOLAK rhythm. RUBAB (a famous musical instrument from Afghanistan) is prominently used in the song. Filmed on Hema Malini and Firoz Khan.

Khaike Paan Banaraswala                           Don   1978

Kishore Kumar /  Anjaan

Kalyanji-Anandji’s top hit song. Powerful, DHOLAK rhythm. Naturally rendered by Kishore Kumar. Awesomely acted and danced by Amitabh Bachchan.

O Saathi Re Tere Bina Bhi                                  Muqaddar Ka Sikandar    1978

Kishore Kumar /  Anjaan

40 seconds of prelude starts with the stroke of GUITAR, Kishore Kumar’s AALAPS and again GUITAR. Beautiful take off ओ साथी रे ….melodious rhythm. First interlude is orchestrated with GUITAR, solo VIOLIN and CHORUS. Antares are beautifully filled by surrounding sounds of VIOLINS. Second interlude is full of CHORUS, SAXOPHONE and GUITAR. It is filmed on Amitabh Bachchan. A super hit song,
