The association of singer Mukesh and the music directors Kalyanji-Anandji started in 1959 with the song ‘dil lootne wale jadugar ab maine’  from the film Madari. The very first song of this combo appeared in the Binaca Geetmala Finals of 1960.

1960, This Impeccable Amalgamation  Kalyanji-Anandji and Mukesh got an enormous response, popularity from the film Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere two solo and one duet Chhalia.  Chhalia film has 4 songs by Mukesh, 3 solos + 1 duet with Lata Mangeshkar. 

-- Mujhko Is Raat Ki Tanhai Main from Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere . This song was placed in 3rd position in the Binaca Geetmala Finals in the year 1960. Second song was --Kya Bura Kiya Hai Huzoor. Fabulous Lata-Mukesh duet --Ye Vaada Kare Jahan Bhi Rahe. The film was the very first film for actor Dharmendra.

Prelude of 30 seconds is full of soft VIOLINS. Nice take off by Mukesh ji rendering मुझको इस रात की तन्हाई में आवाज़ ना दो !! The song is executed on simple TABLA rhythm. The soft VIOLINS are awesomely used as feeler, that adds to the melody part of the song.

It can be heard immediately after rendering आवाज़ ना दो  (at 0.40 and 0.44). The similar glimpses of soft VIOLINS can be heard in ‘antaras’ also. Both the interludes are wonderfully composed with the use  of SAXOPHONE (played by Manohari Singh) , ACOUSTIC GUITAR and finally VIOLINS. The song is filmed on actor Dharmendra.

The sad song was filmed on actor Raj Kapoor. Prelude of 20 seconds orchestrated with FLUTE and softly played VIOLINS. Wonderful take off by Mukesh Ji.. मेरे टूटे हुए दिल से, synchronizing, melodiously crafted,  BONGO Drum rhythm which remains consistent throughout the song. First interlude is interlude is orchestrated with FLUTE, intermixed with ACOUSTIC GUITAR, and soft VIOLINS. Second interlude starts with MANDOLIN and ends with VIOLINS. Polished displays of MANDOLIN can be heard, in both the antares, as a filler, at 1.11 for 4 seconds and at 2.28 also for 4 seconds. Laxmikant-Pyarelal while working as an assistant music director for Kalyanji-Anandji, introduced  FRENCH HORN. It was used in this song.

Hypnotizing prelude of 35 seconds, use of FRENCH HORN (0.00 to 0.05 & 010 to 017), CELLOS, VIOLINS and ACCORDION. Wonderful take off by Mukesh ji, में तो एक ख्वाब हूँ

First and third interludes are awesomely orchestrated with the use of PIANO in synchronization with the ACOUSTIC GUITAR, VIOLINS. Second interlude is full of VIOLINS. Song filmed on Shashi Kapoor.

An amorous song, effortlessly rendered by Mukesh. I would rate one of the best songs, with prominent use of SITAR. 14 seconds of prelude is harmoniously orchestrated with SITAR,  FLUTE and beautiful TABLA rhythm. Singer Mukeshji’s awesome take off...चन्दनसा बदन ! fascinates the listeners. First interlude starts with SITAR and it ends with FLUTE. Second interlude also starts with SITAR, FLUTE , by using different tunes, and soft use of VIOLINS. SITAR is also used as a filler in each antara. J V Aacharya has played the SITAR in this song. One more song mellifluously composed on PIANO. Prelude of 46 seconds which also includes one line rendered by Mukesh, PIANO and VIOLINS. Mukesh ji take off  चांदी की दीवार...it has ear-pleasing KONGA DRUM rhythm. Use of PIANO and VIOLINS with KONGA DRUM rhythm this song has western touch. First and third interludes are full of PIANO and VIOLINS. Second interlude is awesome, synchronization of PIANO and SAXOPHONE the VIOLINS is simply superb. It is filmed on Jeetendra.
